Do you handle small repair jobs?

 

Yes. We are happy to help with small repairs, installations, and to-do lists, as well as larger renovation projects.

How do I get a quote?

Use our Get a Quote form, email us, or call us to discuss your project. We provide free in-home estimates allowing you to show and explain exactly what you need done. Following the home visit, the written estimate is provided to you by email for you to review.

What should I include when requesting a quote?

Why are estimates emailed and not provided right away?

 

There are two reasons. Firstly, we try to provide the most accurate estimate/quote possible right from the beginning to limit avoidable surprises. This means that the handyman may need to conduct research regarding labour or material costs prior to writing up your estimate. Secondly, Silver Lining Handywork is an eco-friendly company that strives to be paperless whenever possible.

Project costs depend on the scope of work, materials, and site conditions. We provide a written quote so you can review the work involved and ask questions before getting started.

 

Do I need to provide the materials?

 

That depends on the project. We can discuss whether you would like to supply the materials or have us include them in your estimate.

Do you remove old materials or construction debris after the work is complete?

 

Yes. Cleanup is included as part of keeping the work area tidy. Removal of old materials or larger construction debris can be discussed during the estimate, depending on the scope of your project.

 

How far in advance should I book?

 

Availability varies by season and project size. Contact us as early as possible, especially for renovation, tile, or outdoor projects.

 

Do you work on weekends or evenings?

 

Weekend or evening appointments may be available depending on the project and schedule. Please contact us with your preferred timing and we will do our best to accommodate it.

 

Do you handle emergency repairs?

 

We do not offer 24-hour emergency service. For urgent issues involving active water leaks, gas, electrical hazards, or immediate safety concerns, please contact the appropriate emergency professional. For non-emergency repairs, contact us to request an estimate.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

 

We accept e-transfer, cash, or cheque. Payment details will be included with your estimate.

 

Do you offer a warranty on your workmanship?
